CASE STUDY: Earley Information Science intranet migration to Office 365

This session is a case study of Earley & Associates, an information management consulting firm, which was looking to improve access and reusability of its extensive content libraries.

With the directive from the top to 'eat our own cooking' the E&A consulting team turns its focus inward to build a best in class content management system. This system would support the company's desire to leverage the knowledge and experience of its team members in order to maximize its effectiveness in every department from sales and marketing through delivery.

In this session, you get an insider perspective on the good, bad, and the ugly as the company worked through the process - from taking inventory to rebuilding the taxonomy. You'll learn about the choices that need to be made and why, the things that worked, and the things that could have been better.

David Pileggi

David was initially introduced to SharePoint technology, by accepting a role through a recruiter to assist a large healthcare organization in 2005. Training for SharePoint Portal Server 2003 at the time was trial and error. David found the technology intriguing and started to immerse himself, finding what were the possibilities the software had to offer. David presented the potentials to the senior leadership of the healthcare organization receiving enthusiastic feedback encouraging him to join the SharePoint community.

David's career continued to grow as he became a consultant with various companies for a decade. During this time, he joined the SharePoint Speaking circuit in 2009 and continues to speak up to the present. Working with numerous businesses including Fortune 500 companies, David increased his knowledge of how to use SharePoint and SharePoint Online effectively. David now guides a large retail company to use all aspects of M365 to improve collaboration to new heights. He has just become a Microsoft MVP.
